Hi! This is Silvia.
A professional translator.
Some translated texts
From touristic itineraries and brochures to user guides and contracts
Here you will find some passages extracted from some translated texts related to touristic and cultural itineraries, user guides, legal-commercial contracts and NGO’s documents. These texts represent just some of the translations so far made, whilst not being able to report all of them, I can ensure that each of them has a common feature: the essential need to convey in the best way possible content, style and purpose of the original text, to get to a text that won’t appear as a translation but as a brand new text directly written in the target language.
Tourism, web content, technical and legal
Specialize and translate in specific areas makes the translation more accurate and precise, that’s why I’ve decided to focus on those macro areas for my translation from English and French into Italian.
In particular, rely on me for

Silvia Carraro
Freelance Translator
“Say what we may of the inadequacy of translation, yet the work is and will always be one of the weightiest and worthiest undertakings in the general concerns of the world.”
(Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)

My aim is to grant that the translation will appear as a brand new text directly written in the target language
I believe that the figure of the translator, despite what some people may think, is essential and it’s turning to be even more crucial as we live in an always more intertwined world.
Although this quality may seem a bit dangerous, due to the restless growth of English as the global tongue, on the other hand it’s impossible to imagine that any language may be supplanted by only one language.
If you think about it (and any language expert will prove me right), the language is life, culture, heritage, identity and so much more…that’s why I love being able to mediate and build bridges between people and different societies which allows me to discover unknown worlds.
I face every project with passion, expertise and accuracy from translation to final check and proofreading to ensure a translated text that won’t appear as a translation but as a brand new text directly written in the target language.
